Last night we went to Short Cuts at TIFF to see the premiere screening of Darrin Klimek’s short documentary film Mandeep. The six-minute film is Klimek’s directorial debut, his background is in still photography, and he acted as writer, director, DOP and sound guy on this poignant film about 23-year-old Mandeep Sanghera who suffers from severe Tourette’s. The film gives an intimate look into a day in the life of a very charming man with an often misunderstood condition. Short Cuts is on again tonight at 5pm at Jackman Hall (AGO). You should go.
